Our WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) program is dedicated to improving the quality of life for rural Kenyan communities by ensuring access to clean water, safe sanitation, and hygiene education. We are committed to addressing critical public health challenges through sustainable infrastructure and community-driven initiatives.
Key Initiatives
- Clean Water Access: We collaborate with local partners to construct and maintain boreholes, rainwater harvesting systems, and water purification units, providing safe drinking water to underserved areas.
- Sanitation Infrastructure: We build and upgrade latrines and sanitation facilities in schools and villages, promoting dignity and reducing the spread of waterborne diseases.
- Hygiene Education Campaigns: Through community resource centers, we conduct training sessions on handwashing, menstrual hygiene management, and safe water use, empowering individuals with life-saving knowledge.
- Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS): We engage communities to eliminate open defecation and adopt sustainable sanitation practices, fostering long-term behavioral change.
- Maintenance and Training: We train local leaders and volunteers to manage and repair WASH facilities, ensuring durability and community ownership.
Our WASH program enhances public health by reducing waterborne illnesses, improving school attendance, and empowering communities with sustainable water and sanitation solutions. By integrating these efforts with our health and education programs, we create a holistic approach to development in Kenya’s rural regions
