The First Steps
Sambaza Group was founded in the year 2006 by Javier Gordon Ogembo and Matthew Pelowski in order to realize opportunities for bringing together East African, Western and Asian professionals and technology for the betterment of East Africa and her people. Both founders are researchers at Nagoya University in Japan. Matthew is from the U.S.A. and Gordon is from Kenya.
Our Mission
Sambaza Group is dedicated to fostering sustainable development in rural communities across East Africa. We collaborate with global partners to establish resource centers equipped with expertise, technologies, and equipment, empowering these centers to serve as integral pillars of local communities. Through community involvement, essential healthcare training, educational sponsorship, and innovative ICT initiatives, we strive to bridge the digital divide and drive lasting social change
